Formal and informal or Common Scatterings may be scheduled for the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary or for two areas of San Francisco Bay--San Pablo Bay or the classic Golden Gate view.

On Monterey Bay you may send your own Funeral Director for the trip to manage passengers and paperwork, or you may authorize Dr. Keizer to do so on your behalf for an extra $100. All our Captains on Monterey Bay are licensed cremated remains disposers.

On San Francisco Bay you must send your own Funeral Director for the trip to manage passengers and paperwork. Our Captain on San Francisco Bay is not a licensed cremated remains disposer, so you must handle that in-house.

Informal Scattering: No Passengers

A. Scattering by Funeral Director:

1. Transportation on boat to and from scattering site for Funeral Director, who signs as Cremated Remains Disposer of Record and is responsible for all paperwork and records keeping

$125/Trip per load of up to 10 cremains; $175/Trip per load of up to 20 cremains.

2. Transportation on boat to and from scattering site for Funeral Director; signing, logging, and keeping legal records for each deceased as required by State of California by Dr. Keizer as licensed Cremated Remains Disposer of Record; Funeral Director mails paperwork to Vital Records at Monterey County Health. Department

$175/Trip per load of up to 10 cremains, $225 up to 20 cremains.

B. Transportation and scattering of cremains by Dr. Keizer at scattering site: signing (as Cremated Remains Disposer of Record) and mailing of paperwork to Vital Records at Monterey County Health Department, with copies returned to you

Cremains scattered reverently with prayer; yacht circles area for scattering, laying out flowers on the sea before and after the scattering. This may be viewed

from shore by observers at Moss Landing State Park without charge by pre-arrangement with Dr. Keizer.

$225 up to ten cremains; $325 for 11-20 cremains

(Cremains must be delivered to Dr. Keizer with container boxes already opened so that plastic bags are easily accessible. Complete documentation must be included with each cremain)

San Francisco Bay
